Robert Tack
CEO

Robert Tack began Capital Retail Group after garnering 15 years of experience in the commercial real estate market with well-known and respected companies such as Tramell Crow.

Robert’s depth of knowledge of the retail community has been developed over years of representing developers, landlords and tenants thereby understanding transactions from each individual viewpoint.

Robert is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the District of Columbia Chamber of Commerce (DCCC), and the NoMa Business Improvement District. Robert’s formal education includes a BA from Wittenberg University and an MBA from Averett University. He has earned a Certified Commercial Investment Member designation from the CCIM Institute and a  Certified Leasing Specialist(CLS) and Certified Shopping Manager(CSM) designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers. Robert is an active licensed Real Estate Broker in Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland.

Michelle Tack
Senior Vice President of Leasing

As a principal of Capital Retail Group and sister to Robert, Michelle oversees all tenant and landlord leasing functions. Michelle has 25 years of sales and marketing experience. Previous to joining Capital Retail Group, she held leadership roles as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for several technology companies ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start up organizations.

Due to Michelle’s depth of sales, operational, and start-up experience, she is uniquely positioned to provide solutions to both tenants and landlords. The depth of her business acumen and knowledge is a cornerstone of integrating a tenant’s business concept with location and leasing terms benefiting both tenant and landlord.

Michelle’s approach is based on obtaining a detailed and concrete understanding of a client’s business model and employing that knowledge throughout the commercial real estate process.

Michelle holds her B.A. from McGill University in Montréal Canada and is fluent in German.
